Domestic Violence Assist is pleased to announce that Nazir Afzal OBE, has been appointed as patron of the charity. Nazir Afzal, the former Chief Crown Prosecutor for the North-West, led the prosecution of the Rochdale grooming case and many other high profile cases.

Of his appointment to DV Assist Nazir Afzal said:

 

“DV Assist is often the only hope for some of the most vulnerable people in the country. The ability to obtain emergency orders protecting you from potential harm is key to delivering a safe environment for families at great risk.

I have spent a career working in partnership to protect people from harm and it is a privilege to join with DV Assist as it’s Patron"
