What a Non-Molestation Order can do
A Non-Molestation Order is an injunction made by the Family Court under the Family Law Act 1996. It orders the person abusing you not to use or threaten violence, intimidate, harass or pester you.
Stops contact
No calls, messages, social media, or contact through other people.
Keeps them away
From your home, your work, or your children’s school.
Protects your children
The order can also cover children who live with you.
Fast protection
Emergency orders can be made without the other person knowing.
Breaching the order is a criminal offence, punishable by up to five years in prison.
Need them to leave a home you share? You may also need an Occupation Order, and we can help with that too.
